Mungapar is a small village 35 km away from Kondagaon. Most of the family depend on the farming. Kaushal deewan’s family doesn’t believe in modern medicine they always go to traditional local healer for any treatment. During home visit our team got to know about his fever, they immediately called Mitanin (ASHA), test done by RDK and he was malaria positive (PV malaria). After counselling he agreed to take medicine provided by ASHA, based on malaria treatment protocols. He was under observation in BCCF and ASHA for 2-3 hours, then suddenly he complained about headache and vomiting. BCCF called 108 ambulance service and get him admitted in district hospital.
BCCF has continuously followed up him for 14 days to completion of treatment, meanwhile BCCF and ASHA did test for all family member none of them were malaria positive.
Kaushal Diwan gives priority to medical treatment after being aware by BCCF and he is himself active as a Malaria Warrior. Whenever someone in the village is suffering from fever, he advises them to do a blood test.
